Teaching Responsibilities

Course Design & Coordination

  • Developed course syllabi for courses taught
  • Created marking schemes for assignments, tests, and final grades
  • Collaborated with fellow instructors to prepare exercises and examinations
  • Supervised up to 5 teaching assistants

Lecturing & Instruction

  • Delivered weekly in-person lectures:
    • 3-hour lectures, twice weekly (Spring term)
    • 1-hour lectures, three times weekly (Fall term)
  • Led weekly tutorials and lab sessions
  • Taught Python programming in labs to solve life science problems
  • Taught a first-year mathematics module

Assessment & Feedback

  • Designed and set assignments, exercises, tests, and final exams
    (typically 4–5 assignments/exercises, 2 tests, and 1 final exam)
  • Marked assessments and provided detailed feedback on assignments, midterms, and exams
  • Developed marking schemes for fair and consistent evaluation

Student Support & Administrative Duties

  • Conducted in-person tutorials and lab support sessions
  • Assisted students with assignments and course material
  • Provided academic support at the McMaster Math Help Centre
  • Invigilated tests and final examinations
